Carla Tours – About Carla

My name is Carla van Tatenhove, a passionate adventure cyclist.

Two months a year my partner Eric and I leave to explore distant countries by bicycle. Amongst the countries I have visited are Bhutan, Bolivia, Chile, China, India, Laos, Myanmar (formar Burma), Malawi, Patagonia, Peru, Spain, Thailand, Vietnam and South Korea.

In November 2014 we were one of the first cyclists to cross the border of Northeast India and Myanmar after it had been closed for almost 60 years.

After these trips we give lectures about cycling in the areas we visited and make small documentaries on the internet to promote travelling by bicycle.

For the company of my partner, De Vakantiefietser (The Holiday Biker) in Amsterdam, I organize most of the yearly company cycle events. I plan the route, organize hotels, campsites and restaurants for the staff. The countries we visited include Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, The Netherlands and Turkey.

In 2015 I decided to combine my profession, Management Assistant, with my cycle passion in ‘Carla Tours’.
